Sacha Reich is passionate about creating theater that ignites conversations.
Mining classics for current relevance or drawing from diverse sources to bring new stories to the stage, Reich’s work leverages ensemble exploration to deliver language-rich and image-saturated productions.
Adaptation/Direction projects include Davita’s Harp by Chaim Potok, The Ministry of Special Cases by Nathan Englander, A Pigeon and a Boy by Meir Shalev, and Charlotte Salomon’s Life? Or Theatre?
Directing Credits include Yemaya’s Belly, The Winter’s Tale, The Misanthrope, Loman Family Picnic, Kindertransport, Twelfth Night, David’s Red-Haired Death and Desdemona: A Play about a Handkerchief.
Sacha is the founder of Jewish Theatre Collaborative in Portland, OR and Co-founder and Artistic Director of Women in Time in San Francisco.
Reich trained as a director at the Kibbutz Seminary Theatre Conservatory in Tel Aviv and holds an undergraduate degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.
